Olympics and Tibet

  • Today's happy place world peace
  • Today's Theme Song We are the World
  • A funny thing history repeating itself
  • Kiwi's Kitten Campaign kitties learn - and it becomes instinct in future generations...

I am so saddened by what is happening in Tibet - the global protesting - and the complete APATHY that governments are demonstrating towards China's behaviour!

How is it, that lead based toys, trading and that almighty dollar supercede human rights?

Have we learned nothing from our history?    I feel for the athletes......the Olympics IS a major achievement that athletes have sacrificed their lives for.....For some, these olympics may be their only shot at the ultimate sport goal.

How hard would it be to just move them somewhere else?  really?  Somewhere that already has them - or has the infrastructure in place.....how hard would it be to move them to Vancouver?  Anywhere....the Olympics have become about the almighty dollar.....and I say - sacrifice that for one year - and CHOOSE the acknolwedge the sport, CHOOSE to acknowledge and respond to HUMAN RIGHTS!
