aaahh finally she sleeps!

  • Today's happy place In the nest of pillows and blankets
  • Today's Theme Song Its' Raining Again - Supertramp
  • A funny thing driving thru the city of vancouver at 120 (not seriously
  • Kiwi's Kitten Campaign kitties like nests of pillows and blankets too!

It's been almost a year since I"ve been able to find sleep on my own, and without medication.  If you've ever gone through a period of insomnia - you know what i'm talking about.  It's a ride on the anxiety bus, flipping, and flopping while watching the clock.   I used to cry by the time the clock hit around 3 or 4 am - panicking becuase I'd have to be on top of my game at work the next day - knowing that my eyes would feel like pissholes in the snow.

Thanks to adavin, gravol and oh any drowsy formula cough medicine - I could kinda sleep around 2am.  But I wouldn't want to get up in the morning - or I'd feel exhausted all day.....

Thanks to a very generous and caring friend....I found myself on a plane to BC for a much needed vacation/ adventure.  I was hoping that sleeping close to the earth while camping - all the fresh air and the power of the mountains would help me find sleep again....

After watching fireworks in White Rock over a BC cabernet - I needed to call it a night and try to find sleep. The nest of pillows and blankets called my name.  I, for the first time in a long time - found sleep.  The best part of finding sleep - was waking up in the morning with a smile on my face before my eyes even opened.  It was raining out and my favorite way to wake up in the morning is to the sound of rain on the window ......

It was the best start to my adventure!!!
